Gun Found In Washington Co. High School Bathroom

MONONGAHELA (KDKA) -- Parents were contacted by Ringgold High School Thursday after a student discovered a weapon in a bathroom.

According to a release sent by Principal Jason Minniti, a gun was found in a men's restroom near the front of the building. The student who noticed the weapon alerted a teacher, who contacted Executive Officer Colleen Spahr.

The weapon was then locked in a security office safe.

An investigation revealed the weapon belonged to a security officer within the district.
