GREENSBURG (KDKA) -- An attorney in South Greensburg is now facing charges after a shooting incident at his tax office.

Tax attorney Jeffrey Burzawa walked out of the Greensburg Police Department almost nine hours after police received a 911 call from his office on Broad Street early Friday.

"We had a call come through the 911 center for reports of shots fired inside the structure," said Chief Scott Fanchalsky, South Greensburg Police Department.

Police said Burzawa allegedly fired one shot from a weapon inside his tax office on Broad Street, but the motive behind the shooting has not been released.

Chief Fanchalsky said one other person was inside the building at the time - a woman working in her office on the first floor - but she was not the target.

"No, we don't believe there was any target," Fanchalsky said.

According to the police report, she heard the gunshot, ran out into hallway and noticed the smell of a fired gun. She then ran outside and called 911, according to police.

Burzawa came outside next and police handcuffed him without incident.

He's now facing charges for allegedly recklessly endangering another person and discharging a weapon.

No one was injured. Burzawa walked out the police department on $5,000 unsecured bond.

He's set to face these charges before the judge in two weeks.
