Greensburg House Fire Leaves 1 Injured

GREENSBURG (KDKA) – A house fire in Westmoreland County left one person injured Monday night.

According to fire officials, the fire started inside a home on North Lincoln Avenue in Greensburg around 11:30 p.m.

One person suffered minor burns, while another person was able to escape from the roof.

The fire chief believes the blaze started in the basement. While the cause of the fire is under investigation, officials believe a wood burner may have been involved.

The fire is not believed to be suspicious.

Meanwhile, the Red Cross is assisting five people who live in the home.
