Greene County Inmate Found Dead

GREENE COUNTY, Pa. (KDKA) – Several agencies are investigating after an inmate was found dead in his prison cell in Waynesburg.

State Police say 22-year-old Ronald Yarbough was found unresponsive in his cell around 6 p.m. Friday night at the State Correctional Institution.

His cellmate was reportedly with him at the time, but a cause of death has not been released.

That cellmate has also not been identified.

Yarbough was serving a one-to-four year sentence for a 2010 aggravated assault.

S-C-I Waynesburg is a maximum security facility, which houses many of Pennsylvania's death row inmates.

The prison also houses Jerry Sandusky.

An autopsy has been completed, and State Police and the Greene County District Attorney are expected to release more information Monday.
