Golfer's Body Recovered From Country Club Lake In Moon Twp.

MOON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after divers pulled a body from a lake at the Montour Heights Country Club in Moon Township Thursday evening.

Authorities were first called to the club just before 4 p.m. and found an abandoned golf cart and a hat floating in the water.

"There was a golf cart near the lake that they have on the course," said Chief Leo McCarthy, of Moon Township Police. "In the golf cart was a set of car keys, a cell phone and the golf clubs."

The Moon Township and Crescent Township volunteer fire departments were then called in, and divers recovered the body from the water around 5:30 p.m.

The victim has been identified as Dr. In O. Ryoo.

There is no indication of foul play. The medical examiner believes he had a cardiovascular issue before he entered the water.

"If someone was near the edge of the water and had some type of medical emergency, there's nothing we can do about that. These horrible things do happen," said Chief McCarthy.
