GNC To Close 900 Stores Across Nation

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh based GNC announced that it will close up to 900 stores across the nation.

The vitamin and supplement company confirmed the move yesterday during a second-quarter earnings call with analysts.

The company's CFO says the number of GNC stores in malls would likely be cut in half.

Company records show that the company has already closed nearly 200 stores during the first half of 2019.

It has about 4,100 locations in the U.S.
