Giant Eagle Recalls Apricot Logs & Poppyseed Logs

PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- Giant Eagle has issued a big recall involving some sweet treats.

The company has recalled all of its Market District Apricot Logs and Poppyseed Logs.

They were sold individually from the bakery department inside Giant Eagle and Market District supermarkets. The logs had sell by dates from Nov. 7, 2015, to Nov. 17, 2015.

There was an undeclared milk allergen in the logs. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they eat the logs.

Giant Eagle says they sold 460 of the Apricot Logs and Poppyseed Logs in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland. So far, there are no reported illnesses.

Customers can return the logs to their local Giant Eagle or Market District for a full refund.
