Giant Eagle Issues Recall Due To Undeclared Allergens

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Giant Eagle has issued a voluntary recall for several products due to undeclared egg and milk allergens.

Officials say there have been no reported illnesses associated with the recalls so far, but anyone with milk or egg allergies or sensitivities runs the risk of an allergic reaction if they eat the products.

The recalled items were sold at Giant Eagle, Market District and GetGo stores.

Included in the first recall list are products sold at Giant Eagle and Market Districts – Danish pastries, Bolillo rolls, specialty cheese, meringue pies, and heat and serve fried fish.

The other items were sold at GetGos – individually wrapped Grab-and-Go subs, which were sold from display cases in the store.

The products are safe for those who don't have milk or egg allergies, officials said.
