Get Marty: Family Loses All Videos, Photos Of Daughter Taken By Cancer

CLAIRTON (KDKA) -- A Clairton family desperate to recapture lost memories reached out to KDKA and Get Marty.

When 11-year-old Cassie Ciolli was battling cancer, her family videotaped and photographed the last year of her life.

All of those memories were lost when a computer hard drive crashed.

"Everything was on that hard drive. All of it's lost. We're devastated," says Cassie's father Gari Ciolli.

Gary called KDKA-TV'S Get Marty and Marty Griffin.

Marty took the hard drive to CEI. CEI is a computer software company here in Pittsburgh owned by D. Raja.

"I have a 10-year-old daughter. We have to help," said Raja.

Raja's people did what they could and sent the hard drive to a California company that took a month to recover the data. But it was eventually all restored.

Get Marty took the video and pictures to Cassie's mom in Clairton.

"You have no idea what this means to me," says Jessie Ciolli.

The family wanted to thank CEI for restoring precious reminders of their daughter.

Meantime, they have two back-ups of the new videos and pictures.
