Gas Line Erupts Into Flames Along Greentree Road

SCOTT TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A gas line caught fire overnight just feet away from businesses and a neighborhood of homes.
Power lines fell, sparking a fire behind a business near the Greentree Road Shops Plaza.
Fire officials at the scene tell KDKA they believe a wire came down, hit a fence, and caused a gas line to catch fire.
Peoples Gas was called out to the scene to shut the gas off.
A spokesperson for Peoples says they're unsure how many customers may be without gas, if any.
