Pittsburgh Bureau Of Fire Investigating Cause Of Garfield Duplex Fire

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Fire crews extinguished a two-alarm fire at a duplex in Garfield Sunday morning.

Crews were called to the scene in Garfield on the 5300-block of Brown Way at approximately 9:45 a.m.

Firefighers observed flames and smoke inside the two-story duplex.

"There was one cat that was unharmed and there was one tortoise we could not locate," said Pittsburgh Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Jay Mullen.

No residents were home at the time and there were no injuries.

The fire investigation from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire and Pittsburgh Police detectives are investigating the cause of the fire.
