Gabby Barrett to be celebrated at PNC Park

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Munhall native and country music star Gabby Barrett returned home to be honored at PNC Park on Friday.

Before the game, she received a key to the city from Munhall Mayor Robert Falce.

She was also given a proclamation designating Friday's date as Gabby Barrett Day in Allegheny County.

"I am so thankful to also come from a city of hardworking people," Barrett said before the game. "That is something I highly respect about being in Pittsburgh and being from Pittsburgh."

"This is just something I'll always remember and will mean a lot to me so thank you very much," Barrett said.

She'll also perform a concert after the game

Barrett's hit "I Hope" ruled the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for 27 weeks and her album "Goldmine" has surpassed 2.6 billion global career streams to date.
