Furry Tails: Sweet Rewards

You know the saying…

It goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."

Well, we all need a little break every now and then. That includes police officers and their K-9 partners. They do such great work protecting the public, sometimes they just need to treat themselves.

Recently, that's just what a police K-9 handler and his dog did when they went on a coffee run. And the delightful experience was all documented on their Facebook page.

K-9 Yasso is one of the police dogs serving the community with the Twinsburg Police Department. The city of Twinsburg is not too far from Cleveland, and just north of Akron.

The Twinsburg K-9 Unit's Facebook page is full of posts and photos of their dogs on the job and in training, but the video posted last week shows K-9 Yasso in a moment of pure puppy joy.

While at the Starbucks' drive-thru window, K-9 Yasso was treated to a "Puppuccino."

The Facebook post reads: "#offduty pupachino run for K-9 Yasso. Life is full of rewards. It's not always work and training for him. He's treated as family and he's a good boy. #policek9 #twinsburgk9unit #thinbluelinefamily #gsd #pupachino #starbucks"

Starbucks serves up these "Puppuccino" cups, filled with whipped cream, to pet owners who will allow their dogs to have them.

K-9 Yasso seems to thoroughly enjoy his, lapping up the yummy treat in just seconds. The barista even wonders if the full cup will be too much for the police pooch, but Yasso seems to have a healthy appetite!

Watch the adorable video here:

We're glad you enjoyed your tasty treat, K-9 Yasso! Thank you and your partner for serving and protecting the community. Stay safe out there!
