PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — If you are heading out for shopping, the WPIAL Championship games or anything else on Saturday, take your umbrella and watch out for freezing conditions in some areas.

It is going to be a wet and somewhat warmer day in the Pittsburgh area with a high of 46.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for parts of western Pennsylvania on Saturday morning, with freezing conditions expected in portions of Westmoreland County. The Arnold Area has already seen some ice and freezing rain.

Light to moderate rain with pockets of freezing rain are possible in areas to the northeast of Allegheny County, where Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect until 11 a.m..

Some chilly temperatures early, but a warming trend will decreased the dangers of the freezing rain as the day progresses. Areas to the East will remain colder, with dangerous conditions persisting.

Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution.
