Franklin Park Native Shot, Killed During Mugging In Indianapolis

FRANKLIN PARK (KDKA) -- Police are looking for suspects after a Franklin Park native was shot and killed early Tuesday morning while out for his early morning walk in Indianapolis.

Nathan Trapuzanno, 24, was a 2007 graduate of North Allegheny High School.

Trapuzanno and his wife were married last year and she is pregnant with the couple's first child.

Police say they believe there were two suspects. One acted as a lookout, while the second man forced Trapuzanno between two businesses where he was shot.

He died later at a local hospital.

Trapuzanno was born and raised in the Franklin Park area, and he still has relatives in the area.

A website, set up Tuesday, has already raised more than $80,000 for Trapuzanno's widow and unborn daughter.

If you'd like to help the family, visit the fundraising page at this link.
