Fox Chapel Council Approves $250 Stipend Payments To Property Owners Affected By Street Name Change

FOX CHAPEL (KDKA) -- Fox Chapel will pay $250 to each of the families affected by the change of several street names.
The borough is changing the names of Squaw Run Road and Squaw Run East because 'Squaw' is a derogatory term for a Native American woman.
The money is intended to cover the costs of any changes families need to make, like ordering new checks, for example.
