Fort Ligonier Days Kicks Off

WESTMORELAND COUNTY (KDKA) - More than a hundred thousand people are expected to descend on Ligonier for Fort Ligonier Days.

The three-day fall festival commemorates the battle of Fort Ligonier fought on October 12, 1758.

The annual fall attraction features nearly 200-craft vendors for shoppers.

This year a wine-tasting area has been set up, featuring eight Pennsylvania wineries.

There will be dozens of food vendors available for hungry guests to eat at.

Parents will also find that there is a lot of entertainment for kids as well, including a Kids Korner.

There will be free entertainment including concerts, a parade, and a 5k.

The festival runs October 10 through the 12th.

Admission is free, but there is a $5 parking fee.
