Former Pens Goalie Frank Pietrangelo: Murray Should Start Game 6

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)-Former Penguins Goalie Frank Pietrangelo joined "The Fan Morning Show" on Tuesday to weigh in on who should start in net for Game 6 against Tampa tonight.

"Wow. Tough call. Tough call for sure," Pietrangelo said. "But, I think at this point I would probably throw [Matt Murray] back in net."

Pietrangelo says he has agreed with all for the decisions Mike Sullivan has made through this playoff run thus far and tonight will be another tough decision. But, he feels Murray is the best option.

"I think it's a do-or-die situation and the simple answer is that Matt has played so many games," Pietrangelo said. "I just think Marc-Andre Fleury is a little bit rusty from inactivity over the last three months."

The Pens will face elimination tonight in Tampa for Game 6 and it will take a total team effort to get out with a win.

Pietrangelo thinks the stars need to step up to keep the Pens' hopes alive.

"When I played with the Penguins, Paul Coffey used to always say you're only as good as your big guns," Peterangelo said. "Tonight, it's all about the big guns. It's about Kris. Sid, Geno and the rest of the guys that carry this team."
