Former Bill Belichick Scout: 'Bill Has Always Worked To That Edge, Crossed That Edge'

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Former NFL Scout under Bill Belichick when he was the head coach with the Cleveland Browns, Chris Landry joined the Starkey and Mueller Show to preview the Super Bowl and talk about what it was like working under Belichick.

"Bill has always worked to that edge, crossed that edge," Landry said. "I haven't seen anything more polarizing."

When asked if he was ever asked to deflate footballs during his time on Belichick's staff, Landry laughed saying, "It never came up, but he was always the type that'd encourage you on scouting trips that if you can find something in a garbage can in the visitors coaching box, or something like that."

Landry also told us about the time he was kicked out of an opposition's practice for following Belichick's orders.

"You're not supposed to go into a closed practice," Landry said. "As a young scout, we went to a Giants practice and you do what you got to do."
