Flood Advisory Issued For Pittsburgh; 10th Street Bypass Frozen Over

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The City of Pittsburgh Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security issued a flood advisory along the Ohio River in Allegheny County on Saturday.
The advisory remains in effect until further notice.
The river was at about 19 feet as of 7 p.m. Saturday. The flood stage is 25 feet.
According to the National Weather Service, the river is expected to fall Sunday night but rise again early Wednesday.
Also, water flooded into and froze on the 10th Street Bypass, which been closed due to flooding on the Allegheny River. The 10th Sreet Bypass reopened to traffic Sunday morning at approximately 6:45 a.m.
Armstrong County Emergency Management confirmed most of the ice jam in the Allegheny River from Friday has moved out of the area, which means what is left of it is potentially headed toward Allegheny County, as well.
Also, after the Parkway East "bathtub" closed Friday night due to flooding, PennDOT announced Saturday just after 6 a.m. that the area reopened to traffic.
