Flight From Orlando To Latrobe Diverted

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Spirit Airlines flight was diverted back to the airport after taking off from Orlando, Florida for Latrobe, Pennsylvania on Friday.

The flight left around 4 p.m., and returned to Orlando International Airport at 5 p.m.

Five crew members and two passengers requested to be taken to the hospital.

A Spirit Airlines spokesperson said the problem was a faulty air conditioning pack, which gave off a very bad smell but was not toxic.

Spirit Airlines is working to put the passengers on another flight tonight, otherwise they will be put up in a hotel.
