Flash Flooding Hits Allegheny County
ALLEGHENY COUNTY (KDKA) -– Fast and fierce, a thunderstorm rolled through Sunday afternoon, causing a lot of flash flooding, and people caught in the cross hairs weren't quite sure what to do.
The water came from out of nowhere. That's pretty much what people hit hardest by this flash flooding had to say.
The flash flood warning came around 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Shortly after that, flooding hit several different areas, all about the same time.

Flooding was reported in Hays, an area that is very familiar with flash flooding, and not far away, a viewer sent pictures from Lebanon Church Road. The water there came up fast and, well, not quite furious.
The good news is the water receded rather quickly, but the aftermath took a lot longer to deal with.
"There was four inches of water [in my car]," said Rita Grisante, whose car was flooded. "You can see in the back, there's water all over. I had to scoop it out with an Elvis Presley [coffee] cup."
"The neighbor, I heard him blowing his horn, so I looked out the window and I saw all this flooding," said Al Demeri, who saved his car from flooding. You can see, it was like up to my knees when I came out to move my car."
As of Sunday evening, the roads are dry, and the intersection is open again.
