Flames Tear Through Pennsylvania Apartment Complex

MIDDLETOWN (KDKA) -- Firefighters battled flames in Middletown Sunday, with whipping winds making the situation difficult to control.

According to PennLive.com, the fire started around noon at a five-story apartment building in the Village of Pineford.

The flames burned for several hours.

Pieces of the building were reportedly seen falling to the ground as flames pulled apart the top of the structure.

It is not yet clear if anyone was hurt or what caused the fire.

Dozens of people are expected to be displaced by the incident.
