First Egg In Hays Bald Eagle Nest Hatches

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- An eaglet in the Hays Bald Eagle nest hatched early Saturday morning.

The Audubon Society confirmed that the egg hatched at 7:40 a.m.

The Audubon Society also says that the Hays Bald Eagles laid two eggs this year.

It's been 37 days since the first egg was laid.

Bald Eagle eggs typically take around 35-37 days to hatch.

The remaining egg is expected to hatch on or around Sunday, March 22
