Firefighters Rescue Pet Cockatoo From South Park Tree

SOUTH PARK (KDKA) -- Firefighters rescued a pet cockatoo in South Park on Monday.

The bird escaped and flew up about 50 feet into a tree.

When the family couldn't coax the bird down, they called the fire department.

Firefighters used a ladder truck to reach into the trees and rescue the bird just before storms arrived.
