Firefighters Injured In Crash While Driving To Fire

MUNHALL (KDKA) -- Two firefighters were hurt Sunday afternoon when they crashed their fire truck in Munhall.

The firefighters, who also happened to be brothers, were responding to a fire in West Homestead when the driver lost control and crashed on Forest Way.

Officials say the 18-year-old and 20-year-old were hurt and taken to Mercy Hospital.

Firefighters say the victims were in is a support truck, which is used to carry equipment.

It is not clear how badly the firefighters were injured. Forest Way was closed for about an hour while the scene was cleared.

Police are looking into how the driver lost control on the bend in the road.
