Firefighters Battle More Than Flames At Lawrence Co. House Fire

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Firefighters in Lawrence County had trouble getting into a burning house Sunday.

It happened around 1 p.m.

Because of road conditions, only one truck was able to actually get to the house on Kolch Lane in Wayne Township.

An ATV helped get firefighters to the scene.

Firefighters had to lay nearly a half-mile of hose up the long hill.

Despite the challenges, firefighters were able to save about half of the house.

No injuries were reported.
