2-alarm fire causes building to collapse in Troy Hill

A two-alarm fire broke out at a home in Troy Hill on Sunday, according to Pittsburgh Police.

Pittsburgh area emergency units were notified of reports of a fire in the 1300 block of Lowrie Street after 11 a.m. First responders later said the fire was located on Herman Street at Adair Street, just behind Lowrie.

KDKA-TV crews arrived on the scene where major structural damage and smoke could be seen as fire crews battled the flames.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, the fire caused the main building to collapse. Residents from two neighboring houses have been offered assistance from the Red Cross. No injuries were reported.

The Fire Investigation Unit has not yet determined the cause of the fire.
