Fire Breaks Out At Vandergrift Party Store

VANDERGRIFT (KDKA) - The fire marshal is investigating after a fire caused heavy damage to the inside of a commercial building in Vandergrift.

The one-story building on Washington Avenue houses a party and gift supply store and a printing company.

Store owner Don Cole said when he left around 4 p.m., everything appeared normal. Cole said the building once housed Valley Newspapers.

Vandergrift Deputy Fire Chief Randy Dunmire said it appears the fire started in the rear of the building in the printing warehouse.

There were no injuries, and firefighters were able to keep flames from spreading to adjacent businesses.
