Fineview Convenience Store Robbed, Police Investigating

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a Fineview convenience store Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the Mercy Market convenience store on Mercy Street around 11:15 a.m. for a robbery in progress, police say. When officers arrived, the suspect had fled on foot up Letsche Street.

The suspect is described as a black man, wearing a green bandanna over his face, a light grey hooded sweatshirt and black jeans. Police say he was armed with what appeared to be a rifle.

An employee and a customer were in the store during the robbery, and both were unharmed.
