Father Of Man Accused In New Kensington Officer's Shooting Facing Charges In Separate Case

NEW KENSINGTON (KDKA) -- State Police in Westmoreland County say the father of the man arrested in the fatal shooting of a New Kensington police officer has been taken into custody to face charges in a separate case.
State Police were looking for Gregory Baucum Jr., from the New Kensington area, on Tuesday evening. He surrendered to Allegheny County Police early Wednesday morning at the Smithfield United Church of Christ in Downtown Pittsburgh and was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

He is facing charges in connection with a domestic dispute incident on Monday. KDKA's Ross Guidotti has confirmed Baucum is the father of Rahmael Sal Holt, who is now charged in the death of Officer Brian Shaw last Friday night.

Baucum is facing counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, strangulation and harassment.
Holt's mother, Sherry, is in police custody, too. She is charged with hindering the apprehension of her son.
