Person Struck, Killed By Train In Charleroi

CHARLEROI (KDKA) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train overnight in Washington County.
It happened shortly before 4 a.m., near 3rd Street and Railroad Way in Charleroi.
The Washington County Coroner's Office, Charleroi police and other first responders were called to the scene.
The Norfolk-Southern train was stopped for several hours while the incident was investigated.
Around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, the coroner's office identified the victim as 22-year-old Anthony Meyer. His cause and manner of death is pending.
