Motorcyclist Killed In Latrobe Crash

LATROBE, Pa. (KDKA) -- One man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Latrobe Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 2:10 p.m. at the intersection of Depot Street and South Alexandria Street.

The Westmoreland County coroner's office says 51-year-old Kevin Seremet, of Latrobe, was operating a motorcycle on South Alexandria Street while the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu was traveling on Depot Street.

For an unknown reason, Seremet crashed his motorcycle into the car and was thrown from his bike.

Seremet was taken to Latrobe Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu was uninjured.

Depot Street and some surrounding streets were closed until about 6:30 p.m.
