Fatal House Fire Kills Man And Dog In Westmoreland County

WESTMORELAND Co. (KDKA) -- A man and his dog were killed in an house fire early Sunday morning at 214 Russ Moore Rd., Hempfield Twp.

Police say the fire started at 4:46 a.m. and the two victims were trapped inside and were not able to make it out alive.

The male victim was 32-year-old Matthew J. Pachacha.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Fire Marshal.
