73-year-old woman killed in wrong-way crash in Hempfield Township

HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) - A 73-year-old woman was killed in a wrong-way crash in Hempfield Township on Wednesday evening. 

According to the Westmoreland County Coroner's report, 73-year-old Betty Wagner was traveling north on Arona Road when a Chevy Trailblazer crossed the center line and collided with her car. 

Wagner was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. 

What caused the vehicle to cross the center line is unknown at this time. 

Wagner was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. 

The cause of death will be pending autopsy and toxicology results.
