Fans Snapping Up Stanley Cup Championship Gear

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Fans are continuing to bask in the glow of the Pittsburgh Penguins' fourth Stanley Cup title.

Some got their hands on the newest championship gear moments after the Penguins beat the San Jose Sharks 3-1 in Game 6 Sunday night.

Fans packed several area Dick's Sporting Goods stores opened after the game. In some stores, there was a live band or DJ to enhance the party atmosphere.

"How many times do you win the Stanley Cup? It doesn't matter. It could be 2 o'clock in the morning, 3 o'clock in the morning, gotta come out and celebrate the Pens' win," one fan said.

"It just shows Pittsburgh pride, we love our teams," another fan said.

If you missed out on the championship gear last night, Dick's Sporting Goods stores opened up at 6 a.m. Monday.
