Fans Help Save Man's Life During Pirates Game

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Two quick-thinking fans, and two skilled paramedics, are credited with saving a man's life during Friday's Pirates game.

PNC Park staff radioed that a 60-year-old man was unconscious in the stands.

Two women seated near him started CPR until the EMS crews arrived.

"Everyone's EMC stance, especially our Pittsburgh EMS stances, early CPR is important, so we encourage every citizen to learn CPR," said EMS Medic Richard Jones.

The paramedics rushed the man to Allegheny General Hospital.

He is recovering and expected to be OK.
