Family Safe After Car Gets Stuck On Tracks, Hit By Train

LAWRENCE COUNTY (KDKA) – A family is safe after their car became stuck on some train tracks and struck by an oncoming train.

It happened in Big Beaver Borough.

State Police say a family, including six children, were in their car when it went off the pavement and became lodged in the train tracks.

The adults worked quickly to get everyone out of the car.

Before the car could be moved, it was hit by a Norfolk Southern train. No one on the train was hurt either.

One of the adults suffered a minor injury after he bumped his head and was taken to the hospital.
