Family Of 6 Escapes Just Before Freight Train Slams Car

NEW BEAVER, Pa. (AP) - Police say a family of six escaped moments before a freight train slammed their car in Lawrence County.

The Norfolk Southern train hit the car around 12 a.m. Sunday in New Beaver.

Police say the car had become stuck on the tracks.

One person was hospitalized with minor injuries.
