Family Escapes House Fire In Scott Township

SCOTT TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A family was able to escape to safety after a home in Scott Township went up in flames on Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out along Spring Valley Road.
Fire crews say a deck caught fire on the back of the home.
Everyone inside was able to safely get out of the home, including the family's dogs.
The fire marshal is investigating the cause.
