Famed Chef Creates 'Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Shots'

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A famous New York pastry chef has a new creation that could take the milk and cookie industry by storm.

They're called, Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Shots.

Pastry Chef Dominique Ansel made the announcement on his Instagram account.

Ansel is famous for inventing the Cronut, a croissant-doughnut hybrid which he debuted in May of 2013.

At least two Pittsburgh restaurants are now making their own version of the Cronut dessert.

The chocolate cookie glass will contain a "shot" of milk.

Ansel tells website Eater.com that the inspiration for the shots came after he tried his first Oreo a few weeks ago.

Apparently eating Oreos with milk is not a natural combination in French culture.

The chef says he is going to unveil the new chocolate chip cookie milk shots at Austin's SXSW music and film festival.

The famed baker says the cookie dough is extra-aerated so it will hold the milk in the shot.
