Evgeni Malkin Out 6-8 Weeks Due To Injury

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Penguins player Evgeni Malkin will miss the next six-to-eight weeks because of an upper-body injury.

According to a news release from the team, the center was injured in Friday night's game against Columbus.

The Penguins played 10 straight games without Malkin from Feb. 5-24, during which the team went 5-4-1. Still, Malkin is Pittsburgh's second-leading goal and point scorer this season.

Specifics surrounding the player's injury have not been released
