Water Main Break In Evans City Slowed Down Morning Traffic

EVANS CITY, Pa. (KDKA) - A water main break in Evans City caused some morning rush hour traffic delays.

A 10-inch main broke on Main Street in Evans City, Butler County. KDKA's Lindsay Ward reported traffic was inching by slowly Wednesday morning.

Crews had fixed the break and were working on filling the hole.

Evans City Water and Sewer Authority says the break happened around 5 p.m. Tuesday, but repairs dragged on because crews were having trouble finding the source of the break.

The water on the road was also a concern and crews were needed to come in and salt there.

All lanes are now back open along Main Street.
