Eric Kasperowicz is expected to be named the new head football coach at North Hills, the school where he was a Parade All-American as a player in the early 1990s.

Kasperowicz has been the head coach at Mars for the past four seasons, leading the team to the playoffs in all four of those years.

Prior to coaching at Mars, Kasperowicz won four WPIAL titles and two PIAA titles across eight seasons as the head coach at Pine-Richland.

KDKA's news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Tuesday that Kasperowicz is being recommended as the candidate for the open coaching job at North Hills that came available when former coach Pat Carey decided not to return to coaching after taking a year off for a health issue.

As a high school player at North Hills, Kasperowicz was a star at both the quarterback and defensive back positions, earning Parade All-American honors as a senior, helping lead North Hills to both WPIAL and PIAA championships before playing linebacker at the University of Pittsburgh.

Kasperowicz declined comment to the Post-Gazette about his expected hiring at North Hills.
