Emergency Turnpike Repairs Briefly Delayed Travel

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - Emergency retaining-wall repairs temporarily closed a lane of the eastbound Pennsylvania Turnpike near Pittsburgh this morning.

Officials say lane restrictions Tuesday between mile markers 44 and 46 caused delays of 15 to 20 minutes.

Initially, officials said the project and related delays could last into the afternoon. However, the repairs were completed around 5 a.m.

The Turnpike Commission is providing updated travel information on www.paturnpike.com and at 866-976-TRIP (8747).
