Elderly Woman Robbed Outside Local Grocery Store

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are asking for help from the public in identifying two suspects wanted for robbing an elderly woman outside of a local Giant Eagle.

The robbery happened Thursday just before 1 p.m. near the Giant Eagle in the 1100-block of McKinney Street.

According to police, the 82-year-old victim was walking to her car when a vehicle pulled up and a man grabbed for her purse. They struggled, but then the driver told the woman, "Do not fight with him."

The suspect then took the woman's purse, got back in the car and they drove off.

A witness described the suspects' vehicle as a white, four-door, later-model Ford Taurus.
