Edinboro University Lockdown Lifted Following Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Edinboro University was put on a precautionary lockdown following a shooting near campus Monday night.

According to the university's Facebook page, there was a shooting off-campus near Water Street.

Around 7:40 p.m. the university said that an emergency lockdown was in effect, but later changed it to a precautionary lockdown.

On Facebook, the university says "All residence halls, academic buildings, and campus facilities are to be locked down. All doors secured until further. Please stay inside behind locked doors until otherwise notified."

Just before 11:45 p.m. it was lifted.

No word on if anyone has been arrested.
