Residents Of Mt. Washington Home Able To Safely Evacuate After It Goes Up In Flames

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The occupants of an Mt. Washington home were able to safely evacuate after it went up in flames.

Just after 6:30 a.m., the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire was called to the 400 block of Edgemont Street when a fire started in the basement of the home and spread up the walls to the roof.

While the occupants were able to get out of the home, some of their exotic pets were still inside.

Their condition is unknown and the fire is under investigation.
