Ed Bouchette: Maybe Polamalu Should Have Retired
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – 93-7 The Fan's Steelers insider and Post-Gazette reporter Ed Bouchette joined The Fan Morning Show on Friday to discuss the Steelers' loss to the Ravens, and during the interview, he offered an interesting take on Troy Polamalu's performance this season that surprised the guys.
Ed told them that he isn't sure Troy Polamalu made the right decision coming back this season.
"Troy Polamalu looks old," Bouchette said. "He can't cover anymore. Maybe he should have retired after last season, unless he starts showing something here coming on. I mean, they've been resting him. They've been taking care of him. They took care of him in the preseason... he didn't have to practice with the rest of the team this past week when they practiced on Tuesday... he should have fresh legs, and if these are fresh legs, and if these are fresh legs, what are we going to see at mid-season?"
Bouchette joins The Fan Morning Show at 8 a.m. on mornings after Steelers games, and also appears on other 93-7 The Fan shows at various times throughout the week during football season.
