STATION SQUARE (KDKA) – Police are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station near Station Square.

Glass was shattered both inside and outside the American Natural Gas Station on East Carson Street.

Police said the armed robbery happened around 11 p.m. Monday. The gas station is open 24 hours, but the convenience store is closed late at night.

Around that time, police said two people broke through the glass door, went up to the woman working the register, held a gun to her head and demanded money.

They took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Several police officers were on scene gathering evidence, trying to piece together clues so they can figure out who those two suspects are.

American Natural was open when KDKA's Amy Wadas was there Tuesday morning. The clerk working the register said police have the surveillance video and are reviewing it. That same clerk said the woman held up Monday night was shaken up and sent home when a manager got in.

Fortunately, there were no major injuries. If you have any information, you're being asked to call police.
